Word Lens an augment reality app

IconWord Lens translates printed words form one language to another with your Smartphone’s video camera, in real time. No network connection needed to do any look up. Instead, it uses the in-built phone camera to identify text in one language and have them translated to another language. Word Lens was created by Otavio Good reason being to help tourist understand Signs and Menus but claims say it’s not 100 per cent accurate. It is a free download but the language pack costs $5 USD as an in app purchase. Unfortunately, it only has English to Spanish translation and vise versa at the moment. Word Lens produces word-word conversions just like Babel Fish or Google translate and one exiting thing about the app is that, it does not require Wi-Fi or data connection to function, as it translates instantly.
