Viber Messanger is one of the most popular messaging apps among Android users, it keeps you connected to anyone in the world and all you have to is connect your device to the internet. Viber has gone a step further to add another feature to the already impressive list of features – Secret Chats. Secret Chats is a feature that makes Viber to be more or less like Snapchat(to those familiar with Snapchat). This is because with Secret Chats, Viber users will be able to set a timer on all messages meaning they will disappear after a specified time period. Secret Chats also blocks screenshots from being taken and prevents messages from being forwarded.

Messages disappearing after a specified time period has elapsed is not a new thing. It was initially introduced by Snapchat and other messaging apps have followed suit. Recently WhatsApp messenger introduced this feature in its status section such that your contacts can only see your status within 24 hours after you post it, your status disappears after 24 hours.

In addition to Secret chats, Viber unveiled another feature – instant video messages – which allows you to record and send 30 seconds videos by simply tapping and holding the instant video icon.
