The Mobile World Congress 2014 held in Barcelona Spain is now a past event and a number of mobile manufactures presented new devices, and the ball is on consumer’s side to decide which device they feel suits their needs. The top smartphone makes in South Korea, Samsung & LG Launched Samsung Galaxy S5, and G pro 2 respectively. Well, these are all powerful devices and they are expected to compete against each other. All the same, Sony Inc. had something to reveal at MWC, and that is Xperia Z2.
Xperia Z2 is the successor of Z1, a device that sold pretty well, and so you would expect Xperia Z2 to settle on nothing less. Z2’s features dual front-facing speakers, a lightly-modified Android experience, large battery, and an elegant industrial design.
Display and Design
Sony’s Xperia Z2 comes with a 5.2 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, rendering 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It measures 146.8 x 73.3 x 8.2 mm dimensions and weighs 163 grams; offering Multitouch experience of up to 10 fingers. However, Z2 Shatter proof and scratch-resistant glass
On hardware; Z2 is equipped with a 2.3 GHz quad core krait 400 processor and Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 chipset. It comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded by up to 64 GB using a Micro SD card.
Xperia Z2 software – runs on the Android KitKat operating system and has 3 GB of RAM.
Camera
The Sony Xperia Z2 upgraded to a 20.7 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash with a secondary camera of 2.2 MP.
Price in Australia
The Sony Xperia Z2 D5603 4G LTE variant is priced at around $600.
