SEGA Mobile Game Closures has announced to remove select games from the Play Store for not keeping up with the company’s standards. As part of showing their commitment to making fun, high-quality games offering best playing experience to their fans is the reason of taking down those games that are up to their standard.
The company believes that it is important for them to ensure that all of their fans, regardless of platform or operating system, have a great playing experience and after evaluating their complete list of titles, they have found that a number of them no longer meet their company’s standards.
In order to upgrade these game, the company has decided to remove the titles from the App Store for Apple devices, the Google Play Store, the Samsung App Store and the Amazon App Store over the next few weeks.
SEGA has assured users who have purchased a mobile game from the company in the past not to worry for they will still be able to access those games from the My Apps section in the Play Store.
There’s no word yet as to which games are being removed, but the company explains that the titles may return in an updated form.
At least by now the video game company has pulled three titles from the Google Play Store – After Burner Climax, Jet Set Radio and Super Monkey Ball 2. None of these titles have received updates for quite some time, and if you’ve ever played them, you’d know that all three could use some work.
