Actually, for those of you who have played the console / PC game Catherine, you will probably feel very much at home with how Robo5 plays out. Freezing in the cold lab alone, Robo5 has no option. Begin your mechanical hero in the same lab and embark on an adventurous journey. Enter into an amazing steampunk charm world guiding Robo on a journey of self-discovery and puzzle solving.
Each level consists of junk stacked in tall piles of boxes and crates. Every push, pull or drag counts The goal is to help Robo climb these boxes to reach the top and advance to the next level. You’ll be able to do this by pushing, pulling or dragging boxes in order to continue moving to your goal. With every level completed you will uncover hints about the robot’s history, identity, and purpose. In each done well part you stand a chance to discover something new!
Game premises sounds easy but to some extent, it is complicated due tricky level design with boxes you must climb, which aren’t always what they seem to be. There are some floating boxes, while others will crumble under the robot’s feet. To make it happen is not easy though you must manoeuvre strategically past boxes and traps that will explode or electrocute Robo. This wasteland of junk is no picnic!
Robo5 is an interesting puzzler which is easy to understand and simple to control but it offers a lot of challenges. Watch out! If Robo runs out of battery power before he reaches the top, it’s all over.
