Nova Launcher beta allows your handheld device “look and feel” like the Nexus 5′s home screen, complete with transparent nav and notification bars, light folders, and circular page indicators. Before you get too excited, keep in mind that some of these new features — like the transparent system bars — will only be available on Android 4.0 or later. Even then, performance issues may prevent lower-end hardware from using this feature, regardless if it’s running KitKat or not.
Nova team, has adopted Google’s new method of beta testing Play Store apps by using Google+ Communities. If you want to join in, hit the source link and join the community with your Google+ account. Next, you’ll have to opt into beta testing, and starting from there, the Play Store will push beta updates to you just like the standard app would update.
Enjoy transparency settings, resizing folders, gestures galore and some nice wallpaper tweaks. The 2.0beta3 release has some fixes on the early beta bugs, with fixes to expanded notifications on Android 4.2, dock as overlay, dock infinite scroll, disabled wallpaper scrolling and force close issues.
