Moments – Facebook New App!

Facebook has introduced a new app called Moments to share photos privately. The app is available for free in the Apple and Google app stores.

MomentsMoments allows you to share and sync images from events, such as trips, weddings, parties, nights out or similar, between a private group of users, in a very similar way to the Kolektio app which is also not new.

The idea for the app is that so many of our photos of friends never get seen, because they’re hidden in the camera roll of the smartphone and don’t get shared. With this service, you can backup your photos and share them on Facebook, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram as you so choose. Photos can be tagged, searched, and otherwise organized. You can also save photos other people share with you directly to the service. It’s not as powerful as Google Photos, but it’s worth a shot if you’re big into Facebook.

So now, with Facebook’s facial recognition software; “the same tools that automatically tag your friends when you upload pictures” Facebook identifies your frequently photographed pals, organizes them into folders and can distribute them with one click.

In one tap, you can sync your photos to the friends you choose. Then, friends can add their photos to the moment. Now, everyone has all the photos you took together!

  • Keep all your photos organized in one private place
  • Sync multiple photos at once—no need to text or email individual photos
  • Search to find photos of yourself and your friends
  • Save photos other people sync to you on your phone’s camera roll
  • Share directly on Facebook or Instagram, or send in Messenger if you want

User reviews: Users have started sharing out their reviews in the Google play store, the reviews are welcoming.
