LG introduces KizON, a wearable for parents to track their children’s whereabouts


LG, the South Korean electronics manufacturer recently announced the KizON, a smart wristband designed to help parents keep track on their kids. The Company recently revealed G watch which is a welcome in the Tech world, and now it has just launched the next version of smart watch, now for the little ones, the kids.

Designed perfectly for the young fellows, the KizON will use GPS and WiFi to transmit real-time location data to a parent/guardian ’s smartphone. Also the devices will be bracelet features enabled for designated phone numbers. The system uses a One Step Direct Call button that lets your child quickly phone home with just press of a button. The KizON’s specialized contacts can be managed from a smartphone running Android 4.1 or higher and if a call isn’t answered within 10 seconds, the device will automatically connect the call and route its audio to the wristband’s built-in microphone. If that’s not enough, the KizON is also equipped with a reminder that allows parents to schedule daily location alerts at designated times throughout the day.

LG’s kid-friendly wearable can get up to 36 hours of battery life from its 400mAh battery and parents will receive an alert on their smartphone when the device is running low on charge.

KizON is already available in South Korea in blue, green and pink, and is expected to launch in North America and Europe later this year.
