Google Maps New Functionality “Explore Nearby” On Android.

If you are new to a place, you would need someone to give you direction to various places in your new area; like shopping center, hotel, bus station and so forth. But sometimes it’s hard to go round asking everyone whether they could be knowing where you want to go. Well, as you know, there are so many challenges that comes with such ways of finding your favorite places. For one, there could be language barrier, and secondly, some people are just not so good in giving directions.

Like for me, the hardest thing to do in my life is giving direction to places even if I have been there myself. I like to be directed, yes, but I realized that directing a lost person or a visitor is not easy as it may sound. If you employed me to be directing potential clients to your business place, then you would miss 99 out of 100 clients. Sorry, am just elaboration how hard it is, I believe now you understand. 🙂

There is a simple way, Google maps. You can spend less time searching for your answer and more time exploring the world with the Google Maps app for Android. Google has added a new feature, “Explore Nearby” which will help you better “explore” your surroundings, offering more fine-tuned exploration options for a user’s immediate vicinity or their destination, with suggestions of what to do in the area based on time of day or conditions.

Now, whenever you want to discover places in your area, simply tap the new Explore button at the bottom right corner of your map to get a quick look at what’s nearby (where available). With Explore as your guide, you’ll see different places and activities that adapt to each area and moment throughout your day. This also works when you’re browsing other neighborhoods and cities on the map so you can plan your day’s outing or daydream about your next vacation.

The interface would apparently get its own button in Google Maps’ primary view. If you haven’t seen the button on your Google maps Android app, search whether the update is available that’s if its not automatic.
