This the app for the beer connoisseur in all of us. For those of us who enjoy the refreshing things in life, there is BJCP to educate.
BJCP, or Beer Judge Certification Program, was originally designed for those more experienced with beers. The app can be used to help judge competitions, and rank and categorize certain beers. What is an English IPA versus a Belgian Ale? The app therefore works as an educational tool for the more casual drinker.
The app is very complete, and easy to use. One click brings you to the definition and details of every kind of beer you can think of. There are color charts, aroma descriptions, and even expansive taste text. It does not allow you to search by brand, but that is not what the app is supposed to do. I have learned a lot just by going into this app after every drink, so it has become one of my default apps.
