Apple Wins Patent Infringement Ruling – Japan

samsung-logo-feature-5It was in Tokyo District Court, Japan, a ruling was made that saw Apple, American Company, win patent put against it by Samsung Electronics .

Judge Koji Hasegawa, a Judge at the named court, said that Apple Inc. won’t have to pay damages to Samsung Electronics Co. and didn’t infringe on patents for certain products.

The Judge states that Apple’s iPhone 4s, iPhone 4 and iPad 2 don’t infringe on data communication patents of Samsung, according to a statement from the Japanese court.

The fact that Samsung and Apple are competing for dominance of a global mobile market that shipped more than 1 billion devices last year; The two companies  have been waging a legal war for the past couple of years with no certain outcome.

Samsung plans to appeal the court’s decision. Quoting an e-mail statement, Samsung said; “We are disappointed by the court’s decision. Upon a thorough review of the ruling, we will determine which measures to take, including an appeal.”
